Pre-Game Report: Giants at Americans

The Vancouver Giants (23-15-5-3) will visit the Toyota Center on Sunday to face the Tri-City Americans (21-21-2-2) in the fourth and final meeting in the season series between the two teams. The G-Men are 2-0-1-0 against the Americans this season.

The Giants are coming off a 6-2 victory over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night that marked Don Hay's 600th head coaching win. The line of Joel Hamilton, Dalton Sward and Thomas Foster had a good outing, combining for six points in the win. The G-Men have picked up points in four consecutive games and are 6-1-0-1 in their last eight contests. Vancouver blue liner Brett Kulak is currently on a five game point streak.

Tri-City played at home on Saturday night, defeating the Spokane Chiefs 3-1. The Americans, who sit in eighth in the Western Conference, are five points clear of the ninth place Prince George Cougars. Tri-City also has two games in hand. Sunday's game will mark the second meeting of the season between the Thrower brothers as Vancouver captain Dalton will line-up against his younger brother Josh who was acquired by the Americans from Calgary prior to the WHL Trade Deadline.
