The Vancouver Giants (3-7-1-1) will play the first of three games in three nights as they host the Everett Silvertips (8-2-2-0) at the Pacific Coliseum on Friday evening. Everett has the lead in the season series after a 4-1 win over the G-Men at the Rink on Renfrew on September 27th.
Vancouver is riding high after a pair of wins, most recently edging the Eastern Conference leading Calgary Hitmen in overtime by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday night. Alec Baer had a strong performance for the Giants, scoring a highlight reel goal and adding a pair of assists while Tim Traber netted the OT winner. The G-Men currently sit in fourth in the BC Division and ninth in the Western Conference.
The Silvertips have also won back-to-back games after they beat the Kamloops Blazers 1-0 on Saturday before downing the Swift Current Broncos 4-1 on Sunday. Joshua Winquist, who led Everett in scoring last season, has picked up right where he left off, tallying eight goals and seven assists through 12 games. The 20-year-old also had the winning goal for the 'Tips when they defeated the Giants back in September.
